About

Welcome! I’m Cory Munro Shea — a visual artist and cultural strategist working at the intersection of creative practice, public art, and community-based cultural development.

My artwork explores themes of inheritance, matrilineal storytelling, and memory through collage, textile, and ceramic processes, and has been exhibited throughout New England. Alongside my studio practice, I’ve built a career in arts administration focused on expanding access to the arts, supporting creative entrepreneurs, and integrating arts and culture into civic and economic frameworks.

Since 2024, I’ve served as the Director of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy for the Town of Franklin, Massachusetts, where I lead public art initiatives, cultural programming, and creative economy strategy.

I hold a Master of Art Administration from Boston University and a BFA in Digital Imaging from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

My ongoing professional development includes arts entrepreneurship training through MITx, leadership certification from Framingham State University, and nonprofit and equity-based training through TSNE and PEAR Institute.
